All jewellery undergoes changes over time, much like anything in nature. It has a life cycle that responds to its environment, how it is treated, and how often it's worn.

At Torus Arc, we have a particular affinity for sapphires and precious stones discarded by the industry due to imperfections. We cherish these imperfect gems and salvage as many as we can. However, due to their jagged cuts, they can be brittle and prone to chipping. We strongly advise against wearing your piece during activities such as bathing, exercising, gardening, or housework. Safely storing your jewellery during these times will help maintain the gemstone's condition.

Silver, gold, and brass will also naturally develop wear over time. We believe that jewellery often moulds itself to your body, and we appreciate the unique marks it acquires over time. Just like the stories we accumulate in our lives, these marks make us unique and beautiful. However, if you prefer to keep your jewellery looking pristine, please treat it with the same care as your gemstones.

Cleaning your jewellery can be done in several ways. One effective method is to place the item in a small bowl of warm water mixed with a dash of dishwashing detergent. While soaking, gently use a soft toothbrush on the underside of a ring, especially below where gemstones are set, to dislodge any accumulated dirt and oils from your skin. This dirt can dull the reflective qualities of the gemstones. Finally, rinse the item thoroughly under clean water and completely dry it with a clean cloth.

Due to Torus Arc’s commitment to reducing waste and keeping small scale, many pieces are made to order unless stated otherwise. Production time can take 3 days to 3 weeks. Please allow 3 weeks maximum for your order to be produced and sent.

SHIPPING

TORUS ARC offer national shipping within Australia through Australia Post's Express Post service. For international deliveries, I use Australia Post's Express Courier International.

  • Domestic Shipping: We provide Express Shipping for a flat rate of $15 Australia-wide. The shipping cost will be automatically calculated and added to your total during the checkout process.

  • International Shipping: We offer a flat rate of $30 for international shipping. Similar to domestic shipping, the shipping cost will be calculated and added to your total during the checkout process.
